Dear Booster Bob,

I have poor cell reception in my 50,000 sq. foot warehouse. I was looking around and hoping that the Cellphone-Mate CM2020 would be able to improve the cell phone signal in my warehouse. Will it work for me?

Yes, The Cellphone-Mate CM2020 is a great large-scale cell signal solution. The CM2020 boosts the signal to and from the cell tower. The booster reduces signal fades and dropped calls while improving voice calls, service range and access. This cell signal booster improves signal strength inside a building without having to be tethered to a cradle or right next to a cell signal booster.

The cellular signal is received by an outside antenna sent through to the amplifier and boosted to your phone through the inside antenna. The signal from your phone transmits to the inside antenna and amplified through the outdoor antenna back to the cell tower.

The Cellphone-MateCM2020 is a complete dual-band kit that amplifies the 800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies. That means it works with all major carriers except the iDEN Nextel Push-to-Talk technology. The kit completes complete with all the necessary crimps and necessary adapters are included in the package. Users don’t have to be worried about how close to the amplifier to get an improved a new signal, users get an improved signal as long as the user’s close to an indoor antenna. The amplifier supports more than one phone, so don’t worry about too many people using their cell phones inside your warehouse.

The CM2020 can be upgraded through an improved outdoor Yagi antenna. Yagi antennas are the strongest antennas available. To improve the signal, users will have to purchase two separate antennas because each Yagi antenna from Cell-phone Mate are single band. They work on either the 800MHz or 1900MHz frequency.

There are also upgradeable indoor antennas that help broadcast the signal out indoors. Most of the indoor antenna upgrades are dual-band dome antennas or bi-directional. Bi-directional indoor antennas mean users must place the antenna in a certain corner of the facility and it broadcasts the improved signal from that point. Dome antennas allow users to place the antenna in the middle of the room, or places where it can broadcast to all points of the facility.

Users will have to purchase the mounting hardware necessary to mount the outdoor antenna to your roof. The Cell-Phone Mate CM2020 is a great large-scale amplifying solution that boosts cell signal for every located inside. Call 1-877-259-4629 to inquire about custom installation of the MC2020.

I Have Very Little Signal, Will the Wi-Ex zBoost YX510 Help? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/i-have-very-little-signal-will-the-wi-ex-zboost-yx510-help-5168/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/i-have-very-little-signal-will-the-wi-ex-zboost-yx510-help-5168/#comments Fri, 18 Jun 2010 18:52:34 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=5168

Product Replaced by YX545

I live out in the country and very little signal, HELP? I have 2 or 3 bars indoors in a 2000 sq. foot home. The signal strength outdoors is about 2 bars.

I recommend the Wi-Ex Zboost YX510 (Product replaced by YX545). It’s a dual-band unit that covers 2,500 sq. ft. and should work for your situation. If your signal is still weak, try one of the upgradeable antennas, like the YX039 dual-band antenna for the YX-510.

The ZBoost line is one of the better lines of cell signal boosters. They have a complete collection of boosters, including mobile, in-home and large building solutions for boosting cell signal. The YX-510 is a dual-band booster that works on 800MHz and 1900MHz frequency, meaning it works with all carriers in the U.S. except Nextel’s IDen push-to-talk network. Place the outdoor antenna outside where you get the most bars, and extend the included cable to the base unit inside the home and you get more bars the close you are to the indoor unit.

It’s a simple installation that doesn’t require professional installers. Just make sure to place the antenna away from any metal on your roof. Metal interferes with the signal. It should be up and working as soon as you’ve placed the antenna and connected it with the 50 ft. cable. You can install the antenna in your attic, as long as you get good signal to boost.

Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex zBoost products along with some cell signal boosters from the top manufacturers. If you have even more questions, call 1-877-259-4629 to speak to one of their cell booster experts.

What’s The Difference Between YX500 and YX510 from ZBoost? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx500-and-yx510-from-zboost-5149/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx500-and-yx510-from-zboost-5149/#comments Thu, 10 Jun 2010 16:20:11 +0000 admin http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=5149

Dear Booster Bob,

Whats the difference between the YX-500 and the YX-510?

The Wi-Ex ZBoost series of cell signal boosters represents quality and affordability in the cell booster market. There are two different versions of the YX-500, the YX-500-CEL and YX-500 PCS. The YX-500 CEL works on the 850MHz frequencies. The YX-500 PCS works on the 1900MHz frequency. The 1900MHz frequency works with T-Mobile and Sprint in most areas. There are also outdoor antennas for both the YX500 and YX510 that help improve the signal strength to boost indoors.

The YX-510 (Product replaced by YX545)works as a dual-band cell signal booster, working on both frequencies. That’s the difference between the units. AT&T works on dual-band if you have a data plan with the carrier. Verizon works on two bands in most places, so you’ll have to get the YX-510 because some carriers use both bands because of the increase in data use. Check out WirelessAdvisor.com to see which carriers use which bands in your area.

Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex ZBoost products, including the YX510, YX500CEL and YX500PCS. There are also cell signal boosters for a myriad of applications, including mobile applications and large building indoor boosting. There are also custom installation options available at Quantum-Wireless.com

Which Cell Signal Booster is Good for my Verizon MiFi? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-is-good-for-my-verizon-mifi-4949/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-is-good-for-my-verizon-mifi-4949/#comments Thu, 13 May 2010 17:49:26 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4949

YX510

Dear Booster Bob,

I am looking for a signal boost for my Verizon MiFi, which picks up the Verizon signal and converts it to a Wi-Fi hot spot for use in our house. I am looking at the YX029 antenna and the YX510 booster (Product replaced by YX545) because our signal is marginal. What is the difference between the YX029 and the Platinum and Ultra Platinum versions of the YX029?

The Ultra Platinum has a longer Yagi antenna. The YX029 plus the Wi-Ex ZBoost 510 should be good enough for your application. It comes with 50ft. of cable so the connection from the roof to the unit should be secure. The unit covers 2500 sq. feet inside your home or small office. Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex zBoost products, including the YX 510 and YX029 upgraded antenna.

Which Cell Signal Booster Works for a 1500 Sq. Ft. Home? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-works-for-a-1500-sq-ft-home-4934/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-works-for-a-1500-sq-ft-home-4934/#comments Tue, 11 May 2010 21:43:25 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4934

We are having poor reception with our cell phones and I am wondering about getting a cell phone booster for our home. We get 2 bars in part of our house and in another part we are on extended service and our calls get cut off. I have 3 bars outside and our home is probably 1500 sq ft . We still get calls cut off outside though.

There are many solutions for your problem. The Wilson 801247 seems like the best solution for your poor cell signal. Wilson Electronics sells some of the best cell signal boosters on the market. Wi-Ex ZBoost is also a quality brand and it’s more reasonably priced than Wilson products. The Wi-Ex ZBoost 510 (Product replaced by YX545) should solve your problem. Both suggestions are dual band. Dual band boosters cover the 800 MHz and 1900MHz frequencies, covering all major U.S. cell carriers except Nextel’s iDen network. Call 1-877-259-4629 for more information about both Wi-Ex ZBoost and Wilson Electronics cell signal boosters. Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of cell signal boosters.

What’s the Difference Between the Wilson 801212 and Wilson 801213? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-the-wilson-801212-and-wilson-801213-4839/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-the-wilson-801212-and-wilson-801213-4839/#comments Tue, 27 Apr 2010 21:04:20 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4839

What is the difference between the Wilson Electronics 801212 and Wilson 801213 kits? If I put an exterior antenna at one end of the RV and an interior antenna in the middle, will I have coverage from front to back of the RV?

The Wilson 801212 is a wireless kit, the Wilson 801213 requires a cradle that you have to mount your phone in. In theory, you should get an improved cell signal. For an optimal signal strength, you would need 20 feet of separation between the external antenna and the internal antenna for the Wilson 801212.Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of mobile cell signal boosters from Wilson Electronics, including the new Wilson Sleek.

Dear Booster Bob,

I need a mobile cell signal booster that works in my car. Which product would you recommend for my situation? I have Verizon with only a few bars traveling in my area.I read about the Stix from Cell Ranger. Is it a good product for mobile cell signal booster?

The Cell Ranger Stix would be a perfect product for your situation. It’s dual band, meaning it works with all major U.S. carriers except Nextel iDen connection. Simply place the magnetic antenna on the roof or top of your trunk, run the cable to the cigarette lighter that powers the booster and enjoy your improved signal. That’s the necessary installation, simple plug-in and play.

I am looking for the strongest extender. I live in a rural area. I have 1 bar on my front porch & would like service indoors. I have Verizon and I want to use their wireless internet. What is the best for zip code 43907 ? Verizon shows extended services available about 4/10 of a mile from my house.

I recommend the YX610 ultra platinum kit (Product replaced by YX645 ultra platinum) from Wi-Ex ZBoost. It’s a great kit that takes a really weak signal outdoors and amplifies it indoors. The installation of the device is simply. If you want a professional installation, call Quantum Networks at 1-877-259-4629. The sales staff will gladly figure out get an install package that fits your needs. Whats the difference between YX510 and YX610? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx510-and-yx610-4695/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx510-and-yx610-4695/#comments Thu, 08 Apr 2010 16:52:22 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4695

Dear Booster Bob,

I was suggested the YX510 system for my purposes and wanted to know if the YX610 (Product replaced by YX645) would be better. I live in a 2 story house that is about 2000 sq ft with attache 2 car garage. I have about 2 to 3 bars on the east corner of the house and 1-2 bars in the house, except sometime I can’t hardly keep a call connected inside the house. Will it also possibly increase the signal in detached buildings or will the home block the signal booster from going exterior to the house? Will the signal on the first floor be boosted if I install the indoor antenna in the second floor ceiling?  Is the indoor antenna directional? Would on the second floor in the center of the house but against the ceiling suffice?

The YX610 (Product replaced by YX645) will pull in the signal from a bit farther out and broadcast it farther inside your home. It sound like the YX 510 will be good for your home. You can always upgrade the antennas to the YX 610 if needed afterward. The antenna is omnidirectional, it  should be placed in a central location if possible. Yes, that should be good to provide an improved signal throughout the house. Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex ZBoost cell signal amplifiers.
