Dear Booster Bob,
I’m considering getting a zBoost to see if it can boost the data speed of my wireless internet. I was wondering if a directional antenna would make more sense than an omnidirectional since I have one AT&T tower within 2 miles & signals from any other towers will not help. I have 2-4 bars outdoors. I would like to cover 3,200 sq ft but only really need a fast signal in the office (less than 1,200 sq ft)
It seems like you need a build-as-you-go system. The best solution for you would be the Wi-Ex zBoost YX-510 dual band system (Product replaced by YX545). It’s necessary because AT&T works on both frequencies. If you want to upgrade and cover more indoor area, add the YX027 indoor antenna. If you get a better signal from outside, check out the YX039 upgradeable dual-band antenna. The system should increase your data signal, along with your voice signal.
Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of ZBoost line, along with the YX-510, YX039 and YX027 antennas. Call 1-877-259-4629 for more information about the latest cell signal boosters.
