Dear Router Ryan,

I’m shopping for a wireless router to connect my new iPad to the internet. I stopped by Verizon to check out their deals and found that they were just too expensive. Then I found Quantum Wireless and the MiFi. I have a T-Mobile account. How would the MiFi help me? Can I just take the SIM card out of my cell phone and put it in the MiFi? I was thinking about adding a line, which would cost $10 per month and putting that SIM card in the MiFi. Is that possible?

If you will be using the device in the U.S., the MiFi 2372 will work perfectly. The MiFi 2372 is compatible with T-Mobile and AT&T because it works on the GSM network. It’s unlocked, so unlike Verizon, you don’t have to pay a separate monthly fee for the device – you can use your existing SIM card. Both methods will create a wireless network using an unlocked MiFi 2372. You need to use a SIM card with an active data plan from AT&T or T-Mobile. If you choose the Verizon MiFi, you would have to get a contract exclusively with Verizon instead of an unlocked version for any GSM carrier.

Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of MiFi devices, including the Verizon MiFi 2200 and the MiFi 2372 from Novatel Wireless.com. They also have an accessories market for the MiFi, including additional MiFi batteries and a MiFi car charger Call 1-877-259-4629 for more information about the MiFi series of wireless routers.
