In line with President Obama’s technology initiative which focuses on establishing an effective overall communications infrastructure, which involves improving cell phone services. Wi-Ex technology grabs outdoor signal and brings it in for you to use with your cell phone, smartphone and wireless data card – extending a cell zone and increased coverage in your home office or your car.
New York, NY — Quantum Wireless, a division of Quantum Networks, LLC, a leading provider of 3G and 4G/Wimax wireless products, announced today it will distribute, market, sell and install the Wi-Ex zBoost product line. The zBoost line of products creates Cell Zones™ for the home, office, car, personal space and travel. zBoost reduces dropped calls and improves cell phone signal indoors, as well as increases signal and speed of aircards, EDGE and 3G technology. The relationship will help effectively bridge the technological gap between rural and urban America, a service that mirrors the goal of President Obama’s broadband stimulus initiative.
In a speech to the residents of Springfield, IL on October 10, 2007, President Obama announced his intention to “lay down broadband lines through the heart of inner cities and rural towns all across America.” Guided by this statement, the Obama administration allocated over $7 billion to improve wireless broadband access in un-served and underserved U.S. regions under the American Recovery and Reform Act. Finally, in June 2009, The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) and the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) published the official criteria for applicants, inviting Internet service providers to offer advanced broadband in much-needed areas across the nation.
President Obama’s technology initiative focuses on establishing an effective overall communications infrastructure, which involves improving cell phone services as well. In a 2008 poll conducted by Connecting Rural America, nearly 75 percent of the participants felt the government needed to take action to improve the cell phone coverage in rural areas. In May 2009, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) published a report that found mobile broadband network coverage less available in rural areas than it was in urban areas. American demand is strong for products that improve wireless service, such as the zBoost series.
