Which Booster Helps in a Tall Building? Dear Booster Bob, Hi.  My son has a new 3G iPhone with service provided by AT&T.  He lives in the Seattle, WA area. He just moved to the second floor of an apartment building.  The building is well-built with thick "double walls" and I have the feeling that signal strength is getting blocked.  He says his phone service is "flaky" in that he has some bars in the apartment and can sometimes make a call but the call almost always drops.
