Wi-Ex, the worldwide leader in the signal booster industry, just announced the launch of its Commercial Solutions Division at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) show. The goal of this new division is to provide quality service to customers, to offer affordable solutions using customized zBoost products, and to provide professional guidance. The Commercial Solutions Division is made up of a team of Wi-Ex engineers who work with with building managers and contractors. They collaborate to utilize the zBoost Professional Product line to enhance cellular coverage for large (over 25,000 sq. ft.) complex indoor environments and create cell zones in problem areas. The solution is offered to authorized dealers.
“Our new Commercial Solutions Division is designed to help building managers and contractors provide their customers with reliable in-door cell phone reception. With the increase in smartphones, as well as an overall increase in the use of data on mobiles, a strong in-door signal is becoming even more important in large professional settings. We have developed a process to make it easy to determine the zBoost needs and ensure a successful product implementation. With several buildings in the Atlanta area already successfully working on completing the process, we are excited to be announcing the division at CEDIA.” said Lloyd R. Meese, CEO of Wi-Ex.
Wi-Ex Commercial Solution Division
For successful implementation, Wi-Ex Commercial Solution Division follows a step by step procedure:
- Wi-Ex Engineer surveys the installation site
- Conducted by Wi-Ex Engineer through an analysis of the location and performing a detailed spectrum analysis to determine correct place for installation
- Includes product details and cost involved but excludes the installation procedure
- Wi –Ex Engineer will provide list of the equipment needed and the procedure for layout of installation
- During Installation and commissioning, a Wi-Ex Engineer provides remote guidance
Wi-Ex Commercial Solution
The commercial solution products are developed to create cell zones in areas with obstruction in the home or office and to increase connectivity up to 25,000 sq.ft. The Commercial Solution product line works well with both 800MHz and 1900MHz frequency bands and increases voice and data coverage. Bi-directional Data Amplifier (BDA) use in these devices increases the indoor coverage and reduces dropped calls, enhances battery life, replaces a need for landlines, and supports high speed 3G and data services.

Worldwide leader in the signal booster industry Wi-Ex unveiled its new zBoost 710 for custom installers at the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) show. The product is designed for both home and commercial installation and creates cell zones in problem areas. A part of the zBoost CI Series, the zBoost 710 reduces dropped calls, improves indoor signal coverage, and enables high speed 3G data functions.
“Our new zBoost 710 is designed for the custom installer market. We have listened to our customers in this area and designed the 710 to meet their needs. With a new ruggedized case, increased gain and availability to only the custom installer market, the zBoost 710 provides customer installers the ability to offer increased cell phone signal to their customers while at the same time experience increased margins and profits,” said Lloyd R. Meese, CEO of Wi-Ex.
Harris Interactive conducted a survey called “On the Go” on behalf of Wi-Ex and results showed that 72% of cell phone users face problems with dropped calls, poor signal reception at home, and dead zones at work. The zBoost CI Series is designed to provide optimal indoor cell signal coverage and improved performance to avoid these problems.
Wi-Ex offers a variety of products in its zBoost product line. What makes the 710 different is its ability to cover up to 10,000 square feet. It works well on both 800MHz and 1900MHz bands and increases signal coverage while decreasing dropped or missed calls. Additional features include extended battery life, user compatibility, increased wireless applications, network protection by patent-pending technology, an antenna configuration system, and 3G high-speed data picture mail.
