Product Replaced by YX545

I live out in the country and very little signal, HELP? I have 2 or 3 bars indoors in a 2000 sq. foot home. The signal strength outdoors is about 2 bars.

I recommend the Wi-Ex Zboost YX510 (Product replaced by YX545). It’s a dual-band unit that covers 2,500 sq. ft. and should work for your situation. If your signal is still weak, try one of the upgradeable antennas, like the YX039 dual-band antenna for the YX-510.

The ZBoost line is one of the better lines of cell signal boosters. They have a complete collection of boosters, including mobile, in-home and large building solutions for boosting cell signal. The YX-510 is a dual-band booster that works on 800MHz and 1900MHz frequency, meaning it works with all carriers in the U.S. except Nextel’s IDen push-to-talk network. Place the outdoor antenna outside where you get the most bars, and extend the included cable to the base unit inside the home and you get more bars the close you are to the indoor unit.

It’s a simple installation that doesn’t require professional installers. Just make sure to place the antenna away from any metal on your roof. Metal interferes with the signal. It should be up and working as soon as you’ve placed the antenna and connected it with the 50 ft. cable. You can install the antenna in your attic, as long as you get good signal to boost.

Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex zBoost products along with some cell signal boosters from the top manufacturers. If you have even more questions, call 1-877-259-4629 to speak to one of their cell booster experts.

What’s The Difference Between YX500 and YX510 from ZBoost? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx500-and-yx510-from-zboost-5149/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/whats-the-difference-between-yx500-and-yx510-from-zboost-5149/#comments Thu, 10 Jun 2010 16:20:11 +0000 admin http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=5149

Dear Booster Bob,

Whats the difference between the YX-500 and the YX-510?

The Wi-Ex ZBoost series of cell signal boosters represents quality and affordability in the cell booster market. There are two different versions of the YX-500, the YX-500-CEL and YX-500 PCS. The YX-500 CEL works on the 850MHz frequencies. The YX-500 PCS works on the 1900MHz frequency. The 1900MHz frequency works with T-Mobile and Sprint in most areas. There are also outdoor antennas for both the YX500 and YX510 that help improve the signal strength to boost indoors.

The YX-510 (Product replaced by YX545)works as a dual-band cell signal booster, working on both frequencies. That’s the difference between the units. AT&T works on dual-band if you have a data plan with the carrier. Verizon works on two bands in most places, so you’ll have to get the YX-510 because some carriers use both bands because of the increase in data use. Check out WirelessAdvisor.com to see which carriers use which bands in your area.

Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex ZBoost products, including the YX510, YX500CEL and YX500PCS. There are also cell signal boosters for a myriad of applications, including mobile applications and large building indoor boosting. There are also custom installation options available at Quantum-Wireless.com

Which Cell Signal Booster is Good for my Verizon MiFi? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-is-good-for-my-verizon-mifi-4949/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/which-cell-signal-booster-is-good-for-my-verizon-mifi-4949/#comments Thu, 13 May 2010 17:49:26 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4949

YX510

Dear Booster Bob,

I am looking for a signal boost for my Verizon MiFi, which picks up the Verizon signal and converts it to a Wi-Fi hot spot for use in our house. I am looking at the YX029 antenna and the YX510 booster (Product replaced by YX545) because our signal is marginal. What is the difference between the YX029 and the Platinum and Ultra Platinum versions of the YX029?

The Ultra Platinum has a longer Yagi antenna. The YX029 plus the Wi-Ex ZBoost 510 should be good enough for your application. It comes with 50ft. of cable so the connection from the roof to the unit should be secure. The unit covers 2500 sq. feet inside your home or small office. Quantum-Wireless.com has a complete selection of Wi-Ex zBoost products, including the YX 510 and YX029 upgraded antenna.

ZBoost YX510 for My Island Home? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/zboost-yx510-for-my-island-home-4657/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/zboost-yx510-for-my-island-home-4657/#comments Mon, 05 Apr 2010 15:30:24 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4657

Hi Booster Bob,

We have a house on an island off the coast of Maine. cell phone reception is spotty. We are at a fairly high elevation. We would like to improve our cell fone transmission/reception. Our house is about 1800 sq. ft. Radio Shack recommended a zBoost YX500 unit. Your site suggests zBoost YX510 premium kit (Product replaced by YX545 premium kit). First, what is the difference? Second, which do I want and why?

The difference between the YX-500 and the YX-510 from ZBoost is that YX-510 is dual band while there’s two versions of the YX500, a PCS and CEL version. Each device works on separate frequencies while the YX510 (Product replaced by YX545) works on both bands. The YX510 has a stronger external antenna that pulls the signal in from the tower better than a YX500 unit.

Does 510 Boost a Verizon Signal? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/does-510-boost-a-verizon-signal-4280/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/does-510-boost-a-verizon-signal-4280/#comments Mon, 22 Feb 2010 15:24:02 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4280

Dear Booster Bob,

I need a booster for Verizon service. They use 850 MHz, 1900 MHz, 1.7/2.1 GHz, and 700 MHz(future). Will the YX510 (Product replaced by YX545) work for all of these including the 700 in the future?

Verizon customer,

The YX 510 will not work at the 700mhz frequency, but Verizon won’t use that frequency for a while. The 510 (Product replaced by YX545) is dual band so it’s necessary if Verizon is on separate bands in your area. ZBoost offers many quality cell signal boosters and you can pick one up from Quantum-Wireless.com, the place for all you booster needs.

Does 510 Work on Mobile Home? http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/does-510-work-on-mobile-home-4264/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/does-510-work-on-mobile-home-4264/#comments Wed, 17 Feb 2010 17:14:26 +0000 Booster Bob http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=4264

Dear Booster Bob,

How well will the YX510 (Product replaced by YX545) unit work with a mobile home? I plan to mount it on a pole and extend approx 5′ above the peak of the house.

AJ-

Answer:

The 510 works well on any type of home as long as there isn’t too much metal interfering with the machine – the 510 should be just fine. Mounting it on a pole should also increase signal strength and help amplify the signal. I know a great re-seller of ZBoost products, including the 510.

Quantum-Wireless.com is offering a rebate on the 510, along with other members of the 500 series.

‘Extended Enhanced’ Service Boost http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/extended-enhanced-service-boost-3839/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/extended-enhanced-service-boost-3839/#comments Tue, 19 Jan 2010 18:46:26 +0000 admin http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=3839

Booster Bob,
A little bit of knowledge is a dangerous thing! We live in a very rural  area of New Hampshire. Verizon Wireless has told us that we are ½ mile beyond their broadband area and located in the land of “extended enhanced” service. I am trying desperately to find a way to either tether a cell phone to my laptop OR via a PC card so that I have a high speed Internet connection. Am I dreaming the impossible?
I can get 2 bars on my cell if I stand on the roof.  Is there an exterior STRONG antenna + amplifier compatible with EV-DO?  What can you recommend?

You would do well with our YX510-PCS-CEL Amplifier but I wouldn’t upgrade the antenna until later. You need to mount this on the roof and then set the YX510 unit within 4-5 feet of your PC air card and cell phone. Both devices will receive a large boost. I have a reseller that guarantees it will work or your money back within 30 days. The price on this product is normally $399.99 but if you order from www.quantum-wireless.com, the cost is cut to only $289.99. Check out the attachment for how to mount this device.

Best,

‘Metal Roof’ Wi-Ex Question http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/metal-roof-wi-ex-question-3844/ http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/metal-roof-wi-ex-question-3844/#comments Tue, 19 Jan 2010 18:36:42 +0000 admin http://www.quantum-wireless.com/blog/?p=3844

Booster Bob:

I am considering purchasing a Wi-Ex YX510 zboost, however I was wondering if you had any case studies on this model for homes clad with metal roofs.

Thank  you,
Rebecca Watson
My goodness yes it’s a perfect situation! I can guarantee you it will work as long as you satisfy two requirements.

1. Extend the antenna above the metal roof.
2. Make sure you have at least one bar to work with.

We have a reseller who has this product for only $289.99. Do you want their contact info? Check out quantum-wireless.com or call 1-877-259-4629 for more information about the YX 510.

It will save you a lot of money and offers a 30 day guarantee.

Best Wishes,

Booster Bob

Wi-ex zboost yx00 pcs cellular

Booster Bob:

I have purchased your zBoost yx510-pcs-cel.  It recommends installation that includes an outside grounding kit.  Two items in the accessory list are yx012 and yx014.  I am having trouble finding a site with them in stock and would like to see an image or diagram of what they look like.

I have checked your website and can’t find either item listed under
accessories or by using your site search feature.

Can you provide information and/or images of these accessories and offer some advice as to what, exactly, I need?

Thanks,
Donna Horne
