The recent buzz surrounding the launch of the iPad has us very excited to see what other news will come out at this week’s Macworld Conference & Expo. As a self labeled Gadget Chic, mother of two and member of a virtual office, I have to admit it looks interesting from both a personal and professional perspective. According to a recent San Jose Mercury News article that I found, I just might be their perfect customer. The article states that they expect early users of the iPad to be “business executives weary from lugging around heavy laptops and parents in need of digital pacifiers to soothe fidgety children in restaurants and airplanes.” The article also gave a good description of how they see the product being used.

“The device brings together functions common to laptops and smartphones in a new — and fun — form that lets people navigate the Web, flip pages of a digital book and create business presentations by tapping the iPad’s screen.”

Only time will tell if the iPad becomes a hot item when it is available later this year or if people stick to their iPhones and smartphone. For now I will stick with my Blackberry but am still intrigued to see what else Macworld 2010 holds!
