Urban dwellers that need an improved cell phone signal are in luck. Wi-Ex zBoost recently announced they’ve begun shipping the zBoost Metro. It’s a great cell signal booster for a small area along with single story dwellings.

Recent graduates that just moved away have decided to to forgo getting a landline, so it’s important that they don’t loss a call. Never lose a call again with the zBoost-METRO cell signal booster. It works on both 800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies so all major carriers are covered, except Nextel’s Push-to-talk network. The zBoost-METRO even boosts 3G internet connection on most phones.

“We know that urban dwellers are one of the largest groups of consumers going completely wireless and
with this comes an even greater need for a reliable in-door cell phone signal,” Lloyd R. Meese, CEO
of Wi-Ex, said, “By using advanced technology in the amplifier, the zBoost-METRO provides a solution to
urban single-story dwellers in condos, apartments and dorm rooms that was not previously available.
Traditionally, amplifiers and antennas have required vertical separation of 8 to 15 feet however the
zBoost-METRO allows for that separation to be minimized while still covering up to 1500 square feet.”

The zBoost-METRO covers about 1500 sq. feet and the patented antenna technology means there doesn’t have to be vertical separation between the exterior antenna and the base unit. It’s simple to install, place the outdoor antenna just outside your window where you get the best signal, then run the cord to the base unit, plug in and you should see a better signal instantly. The device will help users see an increase in battery life on their phone. Increased signal means less time ‘straining’ for an improved signal.

The package includes the base unit amplifier, base unit antenna, coaxial cable, signal antenna and mounting hardware. The external antenna gets signals from more than one cell tower. It’s a great cell signal booster for urban dwellers, new condo owners and dorm rooms that need an improved cell signal.

The item isn’t being shipped to re-sellers yet, but it should happen soon. The device was showcased in June with plans to start shipping in mid-July. Pre-order today  from Quantum-Wireless.com and you’ll be one of the first to get the zBoost-METRO from Wi-Ex.
