The CradlePoint CBA750 3G/4G Mobile Broadband Adapter provides IP Pass-Through capabilities for any device that requires wireless broadband access. For most applications, simply connect the CBA750, turn the unit on, and it’s ready to go. As a high-performance adapter, the CBA750 supports multiple and concurrent application streams for the attached device, converting Ethernet to mobile broadband and mobile broadband to Ethernet. This flexible connectivity solution is platform independent, features two operating modes (configuration and IP Pass-Through), and has an “always-on” signal strength meter to determine the best mobile broadband reception for optimum placement. The CBA750 is truly a “drop-in” 3G/4G solution for adding mobile broadband capability effortlessly.

The CBA750 is compatible with both HSPA and WiMax cellular network devices, and its Power-over-Ethernet capability is among one of its many cutting edge features. Extracting power from Ethernet cable replaces the need for a power cord, increasing mobility and allowing for the device to be placed in more convenient locations.
The CBA750 has one Ethernet port, three USB ports, and one Express card port, all of which can accept a wide variety of 3G and 4G modems and handsets. The modem security cover is an optional feature and flash memory is used for firmware upgrades and to save or restore settings.
LED indicators on the CBA750 include Reset, ExpressCard lock, Power, Ethernet LAN activity, USB modem activity, ExpressCard modem activity, Signal strength indicator, Data transmission, Failover, Higher network speeds, Power-over-Ethernet, Mode, and Attention, many of which were not present on the CBA250. With active subscription (USB or ExpressCard), the minimum requirement of the device is a Mobile broadband data modem whereas management interface requires an internet browser, either Internet Explorer v6.0, Firefox v2.0, or Safari v1.0 minimum.

1- The user experience with devices running Windows Mobile is less robust than other phones and modems. Windows Mobile devices connected to either a PC or a CradlePoint router have exhibited erratic behavior while using data sharing capabilities. Issues include frequent disconnects for no apparent reason and remedies entail frequent rebooting the phone and or removing the phone's battery. This problem is not something that can be resolved by CradlePoint Technology and will need to be addressed by the phone manufacturer. Please refer to our release notes.
