Enhanced Wi-Fi and Security
The CradlePoint CBR400 is a highly featured router designed for business travel and stationary remote Internet access. It will increase Internet availability, speed and performance of your connection. A consistent connection to your devices is ensured by Wireless “N” Wi-Fi (802.11n MIMO with support for legacy 802.11b/g) technology and provides Wi-Fi coverage for range 100/150-feet. Up to 16 devices can be connected simultaneously to the CBR400 and enjoy the improved network. The CradlePoint router also gives you the opportunity to create two separate SSID networks: one private, secure and prioritized SSID for the owner and one for guests. Security and sharing settings can be managed separately and unwanted devices can be prevented from accessing the network.
In terms of security, the CradlePoint CBR400 follows all industry standards & certifications (IEEE, FCC, IC, CE, Wi-Fi Alliance). The created Wi-Fi networks use the best-in-class encryption methods (WPA2 with AES) and other Wi-Fi security methods (WEP 64/128 bit only for b/g, 802.1 authentication) to ensure secure data transfers and safer Internet use. An interesting feature for business professionals is the ability of the CBR400 to support pass-through VPN connections (IPSec, L2TP, PPTP), which enables the laptop to securely connect to corporate networks through the router.

Internet Access Compatibility
The CradlePoint CBR400 supports multiple combinations of Internet access, including 3G/4G (both WiMAX and LTE) wireless broadband as well as wired access (cable, DSL). If you connect multiple Internet sources to the CBR400, it will optimize all networks and provide a network failover support solution (it detects outage on the primary connection and switches to a secondary connection without loss of transmission).

The CradlePoint CBR400 Wireless Business-series Portable Router comes as a compact portable design, ideal for small enclosures. Its dimensions are 4.8 x 2.9 x 0.77 inches and weighs 3.5 oz. In terms of physical connectivity, it features one USB 2.0 port for 3G/4G modems, one ExpressCard port and one configurable 10/100 Ethernet LAN/WAN port.
