The LandAirSea GPS Tracking System 3100-EXT is a compact and convenient transportable device designed for heavy duty vehicles including trucks and vans with cargo holds and deep engine compartments. It is the successor to the previously launched Tracking System 3100-INT and includes an additional six-foot external antenna.

The device can track arrival addresses, position of vehicle, duration of stop, and speed of the vehicle. The actual unit can be placed inside, outside, underneath or in hidden areas of the vehicle where GPS reception may be limited. It is mounted by a strong magnet and a water-resistant external case allows for easy installation anywhere. The additional antenna must be installed on the vehicle where reception is favorable.

The GPS 3100-EXT software is pre-loaded in the device and helps in displaying the stored information in the form of animated digital maps via Google Earth, street views, and/or text reports. The device is sensitive to GPS satellite signals and can receive them through fiberglass, plastic, cloth, and other materials. Reflective signals can also be acquired when placed underneath the vehicle.

The Tracking System 3100-EXT is powered using four AA regular alkaline batteries lasting up to one month or lithium-ion batteries lasting up to three months. A motion detector is also included to shut down the machine after 3.5 minutes or more of inactivity in order to save battery power.
