Battery Pack

 Upgraded from the 5 day limit of the standard Spark Nano, the Spark Nano Plus guarantees 6 whole months of steady tracking on one charge.  The rechargeable battery plugs into wall outlets and USB ports for rejuicing.

Alerts

 The Spark Nano Plus sends out alert notices for a variety of situations.  Users can set up speed alerts, a notification whenever a unit exceeds a certain speed, geo-fencing alerts (see geo-fencing below), and will automatically receive panic alerts (see panic button below), low power, and motion detection notices.  Alert messages automatically appear on the website but can easily be programmed to reach cell-phones as well.

Geo-Fencing

This incredibly useful feature allows you to set a virtual boundary to contain the tracker to a specific area.  If the tracker crosses that boundary, alerts immediately inform the monitor.  Geo-fencing can help keep children and pets safe within the home, inform fleet managers when their trucks enter and leave a facility, and other key applications.

Panic Button

For any caretaker watching over a vulnerable individual, this feature is a crucial safety measure.  Whenever the person carrying the tracker gets hurt or feels unsafe they can call for help with the touch of a button.  Located plainly on the front of the device, the panic button immediately sends off alerts to the monitor, who can contact authorities and direct them to the correct location. This service requires a $5 additional fee for activation.

Software-Free

The entire monitoring system works off a secure website, which users can readily access anywhere with an internet connection.  The website needs no special software to run, it's all provided for online.

Service Plans 

For real-time, constant tracking, a prepaid monthly fee is required for continual use of the system.  GPS tracking plans mimic those for your cell, just that instead of measuring minutes, they measure "locates," a unit which registers every time a "locate," or a clump of geographical data, is sent to the website.  Aside from the monthly fee, a single activation fee is also necessary the first time you register.

International Customers

Consumers outside the US must purchase a SIM card separately.  The card must be purchased in the country where the device will be deployed and must be new - SIM cards from existing cell-phones will not suffice.  The total cost is $240 per year.
