Like the YX545, the YX545x is also dual-band, which means that it’s compatible with both 800 MHz (CEL) and 1900 MHz (PCS) frequencies, and thus with all major U.S. networks excluding Nextel. Compared to its predecessor, the zBoost Xtreme YX545x offers a range of specific improvements, bringing its capabilities to the next level.
Both the outdoor antenna and the indoor antenna have been upgraded and now offer a greater gain for uplink and dowlink. Also, the coaxial cables used to link the antennas to the booster have also been improved to low loss RG-6 coax cable. 

All these elements allow the zBoost Xtreme to provide a gain of 67 dB over 5,500 sq. ft., compared to a maximum of 3,000 sq. ft. for the YX545.
