* Significantly increases your cell phones range on send and receive * Helps eliminate dreaded "dead zones" * No power required * Works on all cell phones with compatible adapter (800 & 1900 MHz - Analog & Digital) * Reduces or completely eliminates cellphone disconnections and noise * Metal ground plane is required (8" diameter minimum) * NMO Antennas requires either a roof mount or drilling a hole in to your vehicle for a permanent installation * The Wilson NMO Cellular Antenna requires a standard NMO mount (901101, 901102 or 901103)
Up to 90% of the power on both transmit and receive is absorbed within a vehicle and the users head. We solve this problem by channeling all the power from the cellphone to the outside antenna. This results in our NMO antenna transmitting and receiving over 10 times more signal than a cellphone used inside the vehicle without an outside antenna. The Wilson NMO Cellular Antenna was carefully designed to minimize loss and maximize gain on both the 800 MHz and 1900 MHz bands. Wilson accomplished this by using a phasing coil and a low loss coaxial phase reversing device that provides high gain on both frequencies. Wilsons innovative design results in high efficiency with low losses and will get the most signal to your cellular phone. Thanks to these innovations and our attention to detail Wilson Electronics has the best performing NMO cellular antenna available. Installation The Wilson NMO Cellular Antenna requires a standard NMO mount (sold separately). Most NMO mounts are installed by drilling a hole in the roof of your vehicle. The cable is then routed under the headliner to the cellphones location. This provides for an excellent ground plane and very solid permanent installation. 1. Select a location for mounting the antenna. The best location would be centered on the roof, although other locations are acceptable. 2. Depending on the size of the NMO mount purchased, drill a 3/4" or 3/8" hole in the selected location. 3. Route the cable between hole and phone location. 4. Place the NMO mount up through the bottom of the hole. 5. Place 3/4" or 3/8" threaded nut on the top of the mount, outside of vehicle, and tighten. 6. Screw antenna coil into place.
